lost in the haze

Last night, as Marta and Polly went to bed and my sister took over my computer, I went out on the balcony to contemplate life and such. It was a relatively warm night, and pretty. The odd thing was this haze, that made Stockholm seem like the city was in a much warmer country. It almost looked like... smog, I guess. Silly, I thought. Then I tried to go to sleep (with the window open, as usual). Soon, I could smell something burning. The scent crept up slowly, and at first I just thought somebody was having a barbecue outside. Then I added the two phonemena together and once more turned on my computer. The news reported a big fire at some paper plant south of Stockholm. There you go. How beautiful...
