For nearly three years I've kept a strict rule of sweet things only on Saturdays. I've seen no improvement when it comes it health or looks, but I have to congratulate myself on having gone so long without breaking the rule even once.
I feel now that it's time for a change. I will now go through a trial period of testing some new rules for "sweeties" as I like to call them. Hopefully, I will arrive at another easy-to-follow, strict and somewhat more comfortable rule. First off, however, January will be a month of anarchy. I will see if these years of Saturday Only has led to me having an easier time staying away from over eating. What goes for January is: I'll have sweets whenever I want, but only if I really feel like it. I will have no sweets to be polite or because it's someone's birthday.
If this works, and I deem that I have less or equal amounts of sweets during a regular week compared to a sweet stuffing Saturday now, I will keep that rule. If I have more sweets in January than I would now, a better rule will be enforced in February.
This will be exciting!
